Press Release: Dr. J. Jeffrey Marshall Appointed to Georgia Composite Medical Board
Governor Brian P. Kemp conducted swearing-in ceremonies Jan. 9 at the Georgia State Capitol for two Northside Hospital physicians to serve on the Georgia Composite Medical Board. The Medical Board licenses physicians, physician assistants, respiratory care professionals, perfusionists, acupuncturists, orthotists, prosthetists, auricular (ear) detoxification specialists, geneticist, cosmetic laser practitioners and pain management clinics.
Dr. J. Jeffrey Marshall is an interventional cardiologist and chief of the Northside Hospital Cardiovascular Institute in Midtown Atlanta. He also serves as president/governor of the Georgia Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Marshall earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1982; he has been in practice for more than twenty years. The swearing in on Jan. 9 was a reappointment of Dr. Marshall to the Georgia Composite Medical Board; he previously has served as vice-chairman and chairman of the Medical Board.
