HEART PICTURES FOR DIAGNOSIS
Our cardiologists rely on pictures of your heart to see its condition at rest and under stress to determine the proper therapies. For instance, we conduct a single photon emission computerized tomography scan – a SPECT scan – while you’re at rest, using a radioactive substance that helps us see how well blood is flowing in your heart. In comparison, a heart stress test involves you walking on a treadmill as an ultrasound image is made of your heart. We also perform CTAs, MRIs and more.
